Kickoff time set for Sept. 15 matchup with Ohio

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — Kickoff for the 2015 “Battle for the Bell” between the Herd and Ohio has been set for 7 p.m. on Sept. 12. ESPN announced Wednesday the game will be broadcast on ESPN3.

Marshall defeated the Bobcats 44-14 last season at Joan C. Edwards Stadium. The Herd piled up 700 yards in the victory. Receivers Davonte Allen caught a pair of touchdown passes, while Angelo Jean-Louis hauled in a scoring catch and Devon Johnson ran for a touchdown. All three return for this year’s game.

This year’s game will be played at Peden Stadium in Athens, Ohio. It will be Marshall’s first game on the road in 2015.
