BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. — Bridgeport baseball coach Robert Shields joined the MetroNews Statewide Sportsline to reflect on his program’s second straight Class AA state championship.
“We’ve got good strong backing in our little league system and the kids have just developed throughout the years,” Shields said. “They’ve just got that sense of pride of wanting to win all of the time and they work hard at it. They want to keep it going. There’s a community effort in trying to be the best and that goes a long way.”
The complete interview with Shields is posted above.
