Former teacher pleads guilty to receiving child porn

OAK HILL, W.Va. A former Fayette County teacher faces 15 years in jail after pleading guilty on Tuesday to receiving child pornography.

Joshua Taylor, a former Collins Middle School Teacher in Oak Hill, admitted he exchanged text messages with a 12-year-old female student at the school. The 31-year-old also persauded the student to take pictures of her genitals and send them.

Taylor also admitted to attempting to distribute the images. He faces a mandatory prison sentence of 15 years, followed by 20 years of supervised release. He also faces a $250,000 fine and will be required to register as a sex offender.

His sentencing is scheduled for September.
