KINGWOOD, W.Va. — Sheriff’s deputies in Preston County are investigating a Wednesday afternoon bank robbery.

A white man, considered armed and dangerous, in his late twenties or early thirties walked into Clear Mountain Bank at 1:10 p.m. and demanded cash from a teller, according to deputies.

The suspect is approximately  6’1″ to 6’4″ and weighs 220 to 240 pounds.

He entered the bank from the nearby intersection of Route 7 and Route 26 and took off through the bank’s side parking lot.

The robber was wearing khaki shorts, a white t-shirt, grey jacket and a black ball cap with white lettering.
Anyone who may have been in the area or has any information is asked to immediately contact the Preston County Sheriff’s Office at 304-329-1611 or the West Virginia State Police at 304-329-1101.
