MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — A fatal accident in Monongalia County was the result of the driver trying to avoid a deer, West Virginia state police said.
Alexander Gorby was traveling north on Interstate 79 near the Star City exit when he swerved to avoid a deer and lost control of his 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe, rolling the SUV several times.
Gorby was thrown from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash happened around 2 a.m. Thursday.
