FRAMETOWN, W.Va. — Braxton County officials called off a search for a reported downed aircraft after hours of searching with no results.
Reports of a plane crash were surfaced Tuesday around 7 p.m. by residents of the Millrun area. First responders spent several hours searching near Frametown but didn’t find anything.
According to the Braxton County Emergency Management Facebook page, the search was called off early Wednesday after the West Virginia Air National Guard found no signs of distress signals or a crash site.
