USA Today releases its West Virginia all-state baseball teams

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — USA Today announced its ALL-USA West Virginia baseball team. Players were selected based on their achievements from the 2014-15 school year.

FIRST TEAM

Player of the Year
Zach Minnick, C/P, Logan, 6-0/210, Sr. — Minnick was West Virginia’s Gatorade Player of the Year and a three-time West Virginia Baseball Coaches Association first-team all-state honoree. He batted .565 on the season while tallying 26 extra-base hits, including six home runs.

COACH OF THE YEAR

Tom Cullen, Wahama — Cullen led the White Falcons to the program’s first state title in 17 years. Wahama posted a 25-7 record and defeated reigning Class A champion Man 7-0 in the title game.
