3 injured in Charleston bar shooting

CHARLESTON, W.Va. Three people suffered non-life threatening injuries in a bar shooting early Saturday morning in Charleston.

The 2 a.m. shooting occurred inside the Monkey Barrel on Leon Sullivan Way. The victims were identified as Andre Williamson, Melissa Dawn Tate and Kianna Brock by Charleston police detectives.

Police arrested Derek Skylar Brown and charged him with being a felon in possession of a firearm. He was being held in the South Central Regional Jail on $10,000 bail. No charges were immediately filed for the shootings.

The state Alcohol Beverage Control Agency suspended the Monkey Barrel’s liquor license for 10 days while an investigation takes place.
