HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Thundering Herd Basketball Coach Dan D’Antoni has saved his team’s toughest test for the end of the non-conference portion of the schedule. Marshall is slated to travel to the University of Maryland on Dec. 27.
The Terrapins announced their non-conference schedule Tuesday, that includes Marshall’s visit to the XFINITY Center in College Park, Md. The Terps finished its first season in the Big Ten with a 28-7 record, advancing to the third round of the NCAA Tournament. The Terps were also nearly perfect at home, going 18-1 in 2014-15.
Marshall has two other games schedule with teams from the Power 5 conferences. The Herd will travel to the University of Tennessee on Nov. 19 and on Dec. 17 will play West Virginia in the annual Capital Classic.
Non-conference games are also scheduled with Morehead State, James Madison, Eastern Illinois, Eastern Kentucky, North Carolina Central, Akron and the Herd is scheduled to participate in a tournament in Las Vegas.
