Arrest made in Morgantown sexual assault

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — A woman was recovering Friday morning from a violent attack in Morgantown. At approximately 10:00 p.m. Friday night the victim was walking to her home when she was approached by a stranger.

He severely beat the woman and sexually assaulted her.   Police spotted a suspect downtown with evidence on his clothes that linked him to the Greenmont crime. Alex Dewayne Likens, 29 of Grafton, is in custody facing first degree sexual assault and malicious wounding.
