RENICK, W.Va. — No charges were immediately filed against the driver whose vehicle struck and killed a man in Greenbrier County early Saturday morning.
A pedestrian, identified as Larry McCarty, 60, of Renick, was hit when he stepped out in front of a car on Julia Road in Renick around 2 a.m. Saturday, according to deputies with the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Department.
Deputies said the driver immediately stopped and attempted to help McCarty who died at the scene.
The investigation continued Sunday.
