Two sought in Mercer County school break in

SPANISHBURG, W.Va. — The search continued Sunday for two men who broke into a Mercer County school early Saturday to steal electronic equipment.

Items that included laptops and Apple iPads were taken from Spanishburg School, an elementary school located along Beckley Road.

Deputies with the Mercer County Sheriff’s Department released surveillance video of the two suspects as part of the ongoing investigation.

The men had been drinking at the school playground prior to the burglary, according to investigators.

Those with information about the suspects were being asked to call the Mercer County Sheriff’s Department at 304-487-8364.
