Authorities investigating multiple robberies in Fayette County

FAYETTE COUNTY, W.Va. — Investigators were at the scene of two reported robberies in Fayette County Monday.

The first occurred at the Sunoco Gas Station in Lavista Sunday night, just after 9 p.m., according to authorities.

State Police from the Oak Hill detachment are leading the investigation there.

The second robbery happened early Monday morning at the Kiwi Shop in Mount Hope.

Officers responded to the scene at approximately 4 a.m., with Deputies from the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department the first to arrive.

More information about the two incidents is expected as the investigations continue.
