Fayette County Sheriff’s Dept. identifies potential suspect in early morning robbery

MOUNT HOPE, W.Va. — A suspect description has been released in connection to one of the two break-ins from Sunday night and early Monday morning in Fayette County.

It’s believed the suspect is a white male, who was wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt and ball cap with a white bandanna pulled up over his face, disguising his facial features.

The suspect broke into Dan’s Kwik Shop on the Mount Hope Bypass around 4:00 am, Monday morning. He left the store with around $200 cash and several rolls of lottery tickets.

The break-in caused around $1,600 in damage to Dan’s Kwik Shop.

The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office asks store owners to be on the lookout if someone comes in with multiple winning lottery tickets. You should make note of the individual’s appearance and notify their office as soon as possible.

You can contact the Fayette County 911 Center at 304-574-3590 or Crime Stoppers at 304-255-7867.
