Manchin and Capito announce FEMA security funding

WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. Sen. Joe Manchin and U.S. Sen. Shelley Moore Capito announced Wednesday that over $7,500 in funding from FEMA will go to the West Virginia Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management for homeland security programs.

The funds will be used to support terrorism prevention and to enhance West Virginia’s emergency preparedness system.

Over $100,000 of the money will go to the Ohio County Commission for maritime transportation infrastructure security activities against risks associated with potential terrorism.
