Name released in Marion County fatal crash

FARMINGTON, W.Va. — A Marion County man was killed in a two-vehicle accident Wednesday afternoon on Route 218 north of Farmington.

State police released the name of Dustin Akers, 24, of Fairmont, Thursday afternoon.

Akers’ vehicle went across the center line and slammed into an oncoming truck being driven by a Farmington man. The truck driver was not seriously injured.

State troopers are continuing their investigation.
