Update: Monongalia County deputies investigate grocery store robbery

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Monongalia County detectives are looking for the who man robbed a grocery store Friday afternoon.

A white man entered Kroger in the Suncrest Towne Centre about 12:45 p.m., approached a clerk at a register, indicated he was armed and asked for money.

He is described as having salt and pepper hair wearing a light colored t-shirt and dark shorts.

The suspect has an average build and is less than 6 feet tall.

He made off with an undisclosed amount of money. The robber was seen leaving the parking lot in a dark vehicle.

Monongalia County sheriff’s deputies request information or tips be called into 304-291-7260.
