Silver Alert canceled after Harrison County man found dead

BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. — A Silver Alert issued last month in Harrison County has been canceled after an elderly Lumberport man was found dead.

Larry Anthony Marra, 68, was discovered Saturday inside of his vehicle over a hill along County Route 18, according to State Police. Two men located the vehicle and flagged down Troopers to report the crash.

Investigators identified the vehicle as Marra’s and the Harrison County Medical Examiner identified the body as that of Marra.

There did not appear to be any signs of foul play and the investigation is ongoing, pending the results from the State Medical Examiner’s Office.

Marra had been missing since July 13, when he was seen driving his vehicle in Lumberport. On July 16, State Police in Bridgeport issued a Silver Alert after his wife reported him missing.
