HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall football coach Doc Holliday announced Monday the program and wide receiver Angelo Jean-Louis had decided to “part ways.”
The announcement was not a surprise as Jean-Louis had only participated in the Herd’s initial preseason camp practice. Jean-Louis showed flashes of the talent during his short career at Marshall. The former four-star recruit had 21 receptions for 490 yards and six touchdowns in 2013, including a 77-yard scoring catch against Ohio and a 43-yarder at UAB.
Jean-Louis had moved from outside receiver to the slot position during spring drills following the departure of Tommy Shuler. Now, with Jean-Louis gone, Marshall will likely turn to Hyleck Foster to fill the slot.
