Monongalia County fight complaint leads to drug investigation

MONONGALIA COUNTY, W.Va. — Five people have been arrested in Monongalia County’s Eastgate Manor neighborhood.

Sheriff’s deputies answered a call for a fight at a house early Wednesday morning.

Alex Rosario, 24 of New York, involved in the fight, was also wanted by the United States Marshal’s Service for a probation violation.

During his arrest, deputies learned of a possible clandestine lab in the residence where the fight occurred.

The Mon Metro Drug Task Force, trained to safely deal with toxic materials used in the making of methamphetamine, responded to find evidence of a lab.

Four more suspects were arrested on felony charges of operating a clandestine lab.

Jay Johnson, 24, is from Moundsville.

Tonya Rodriguez, 37, and Gary Hall, 44, are both of Morgantown.

Alan Kulina, 38, is from Fairmont.

Bond was set at $75,000 for each of the four drug suspects.

They were taken to the North Central Regional Jail.
