Search continues for woman who went missing while fishing in Marion County

WORTHINGTON, W.Va. — The fourth day of searching for a woman who disappeared earlier in the week while fishing in Marion County began Friday morning.

The unidentified woman –reported to be in her 40s– first went missing Tuesday night while fishing with a friend in the West Fork River at Worthington Park along Meadowridge Road.

She waded into the river near the dam, then apparently fell and was not seen again.

Since then, search teams have utilized divers and nets placed along the river, among other things, covering a large search area in an effort to locate her.

Officials are asking the public to keep an eye out for anything out of the ordinary along the river.
