Sheriff’s Department questioning suspect after Harrison County stabbing

EASTVIEW, W.Va. — The Harrison County Sheriff’s Department has detained a suspect for questioning after a Friday morning stabbing resulted in a person being transported to the hospital.

Law enforcement arrived at the scene at 11:36 a.m. Friday morning close to the intersection of Copeland Avenue and Philippi Pike in the Eastview area, according to Harrison 911 officials.

The male suspect was arrested by Deputies on site, while the female victim was transported to United Hospital Center.

The identities of those involved is not known at this time and the condition of the victim is not known either.

Authorities from the Anmoore and Clarksburg Police Departments assisted in the response.

The investigation led by the Sheriff’s Department is ongoing.
