2 killed when pickups collide on I-70

WHEELING, W.Va. — Deputies with the Ohio County Sheriff’s Department were investigating a deadly weekend crash on Interstate 70 in Ohio County.

Two people were killed and a third critically injured in a wreck involving two pickup trucks on Two Mile Hill around 1 a.m. Saturday.

According to investigators, one pickup truck heading west lost control and crossed into the eastbound lanes.

It took several hours to fully re-open the highway.

The names of the victims were not immediately released.

The investigation continued into Sunday.
