FAYETTEVILLE, W.Va. — An elderly woman who suffered injuries during a house fire Aug. 17 has died.
Wanda Kessell, 81, died last Friday at Cabell Huntington Hospital.
Richard Kessell, 55, remains hospitalized and is in stable condition.
The fire began shortly before 4 a.m on Gatewood Road near Fayetteville.
The state Fire Marshal’s Office ruled the cause of the fire undetermined, but the investigation was ongoing Wednesday.
