2 dead in Boone County fire

TURTLE CREEK, W.Va. — Two people were killed in a Saturday morning fire in the Turtle Creek area of Boone County, sheriff’s deputies said.

The blaze was reported in a mobile home park near U.S. Route 119 at about 2:30 a.m. The state Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating.

The names of the victims have not been released.

Volunteer firefighters from Danville and Madison were on the scene
