Harrison SCAD Unit arrests three on drug charges involving heroin

SALEM, W.Va. — Three individuals are facing drug charges today after authorities in Harrison County executed a search warrant on their residence Sunday.

In the early Sunday morning hours, the Harrison County Sheriffs Department’s Street Crimes and Drug Unit arrested Emily Floyd, 21, of Salem, Gianna “G.G.” Scott, 19, of Clarksburg, and Dimetri L. Ripley, 29 of McKeesport, PA, on heroin related drug charges.

Sgt. Craig Moore, of the Harrison County Sheriffs Department Patrol Division, was assisting the Harrison County Probation Office on a home check of Emily Floyd –who was on probation for previous heroin arrests– when he observed several item in the home related to heroin trafficking.

He then contacted the SCAD Unit who obtained a search warrant for Floyd’s residence in Salem.

As a result of the execution of this search warrant, SCAD Deputies located 4 bricks of heroin (200 stamps), $2,437 in U.S. currency and a .380 pistol in a bedroom where Ripley and Scott were staying.

All three individual were charged with possession of heroin with intent to distribute and conspiracy to distribute heroin, both felonies.

The trio was transported to the North Central Regional Jail to await their arraignment before a Harrison County Magistrate.
