MULLENS, W.Va. — A police officer was injured when the cruiser he was in was rear ended by a side-by-side ATV early Saturday morning in Mullens.
The driver of the side-by-side, with no lights, was going 60 to 70 mph when he struck the cruiser, Mullens Police Chief Ray Toler told WVVA-TV in an email.
The ATV operator was seriously injured after being ejected. He was taken by helicopter to CAMC General. The Mullens police officer was taken to Raleigh General Hospital.
The Wyoming County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the crash, Chief Toler said.
