Bicyclist struck in South Charleston Wednesday dies from injuries

SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. — A bicyclist struck on U.S. 119 near Trace Fork early Wednesday morning in dense fog died from his injuries at CAMC Thursday afternoon.

John Jump, 30, of Nitro was struck while riding in the traffic lane coming home from the night shift at the Taco Bell on Corridor G.

The driver of the car, who was on his way to work, was not injured and not charged. The crash is still under investigation.

Jump leaves behind three children and a fiance. A GoFundMe account to setup trust funds for his kids has been started by Jump’s twin brother Josh.
