Former Kanawha County legislator to run for Attorney General

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Former Kanawha County legislator Mark Hunt announced Wednesday he will run for state Attorney General.

“I have the heart and experience to reinvent the Office of Attorney General to make it a tough watchdog for the people of West Virginia,” Hunt said in a news release.

Hunt, a Democrat, served in the House of Delegates for 14 years, most recently from 2008 to 2014.

Hunt joins incumbent Attorney General Patrick Morrisey and Charleston city councilman David Higgins in running for the position next year.
