Charleston gains new medical clinic

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — The Huntington VA Medical Center announced Wednesday it will relocate its VA Community Based Outpatient Clinic to Charleston.

The new location for the Charleston clinic will be on Route 119 South at 700 Technology Drive in South Charleston.

“We are excited to be moving to a beautiful, expansive clinic where we can offer more specialty care services,” said Sarah Portillo, Charleston Clinic Manager. “The clinic will continue to provide primary care and mental health services, and we will also be able to provide optometry services, women’s health, telehealth, laboratory and x-rays.”

Renovations are underway, with an anticipated opening date in the summer of 2016.

The Charleston VA Clinic provides service to 6,000 veterans in Kanawha and surrounding counties.
