Leaders to attend groundbreaking ceremony for new section of U.S. Route 35 Wednesday

BUFFALO, W.Va. — Several state and local leaders will be on hand Wednesday to break ground on the final 14.6 mile section of U.S. Route 35, between State Route 869 at the Buffalo Bridge in Putnam County and County Route 40 in Mason County.

The event will take place at 2 p.m. at the DOH U.S. Route 35 maintenance facility above the Buffalo Bridge Hill in Putnam County.

Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin, Sen. Shelley Moore Capito and 3rd District Congressman Evan Jenkins are scheduled to attend.
