Motorcyclist killed in hit-and-run Monday night near Virginia state line

PRINCETON, W.Va. — A motorcyclist was killed after he was run over by a vehicle on U.S. Route 460 Monday evening in Mercer County near the Virginia State line.

Police are still searching for the driver of the vehicle who allegedly fled the scene. Police say the driver of the motorcycle lost control of the bike and was then run over by someone driving a dark-colored passenger car.

The incident happened at about 7:30 p.m. Monday night.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact  the Princeton Detachment of the West Virginia State Police.
