Justice makes payment toward back taxes owed to McDowell County

WELCH, W.Va. — Democratic gubernatorial candidate and Greenbrier owner Jim Justice made a payment toward more than $1 million in back taxes owed to McDowell County on Wednesday.

Justice made a payment of nearly $167,000 after the county hired an attorney and reached an agreement for the payments to be made in installments.

Justice announced his intention to run for governor earlier this year, switching his affiliation to Democrat.
