BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. — Bridgeport continued its dominant run atop Class AA as the No. 1 Indians shutout No. 3 Fairmont Senior 35-0 on Friday night.
Defensively, Bridgeport (8-0-1) forced red-zone turnovers on all three of Fairmont Senior’s first three possessions as the Indians led 21-0 at the break. Bridgeport running back Dante Bonamico finished with 125 yards rushing and a pair of scores, while teammate Dylan Tonkery left the game in the second quarter with an ankle injury.
The Polar Bears dropped to 7-2 on the season with the loss. It’s the 10th straight win the series for Bridgeport as the Indians are now 28-10 against the Polar Bears going back to 1972.
