MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Much like Cabell Midland in Class AAA, Bridgeport continued its dominant run atop Class AA as the No. 1 Indians shutout No. 3 Fairmont Senior 35-0 on Friday night.
Defensively, Bridgeport (8-0-1) forced red-zone turnovers on all three of Fairmont Senior’s first three possessions as the Indians led 21-0 at the break. Bridgeport running back Dante Bonamico finished with 125 yards rushing and a pair of scores, while teammate Dylan Tonkery left the game in the second quarter with an ankle injury.

The Polar Bears dropped to 7-2 on the season with the loss. It’s the 10th straight win the series for Bridgeport as the Indians are now 28-10 against the Polar Bears going back to 1972.
Class AA No. 2 Tolsia (8-1) lost for the first time this season, dropping an out-of-state contest to Boyd County, Kentucky, 34-32. The Rebels trailed 28-12 at the half and scored with under a minute to go in the game, closing their deficit to 34-32. The two point conversion attempt failed as Tolsia suffered the upset loss.
No. 4 Bluefield (7-1) made quick work of No. 5 James Monroe (7-2) 55-6. Carlos Reed finished with 156 yards on 10 carries, while Mookie Collier added 140 yards on 12 carries for the Beavers.

No. 6 Mingo Central (8-1) pulled away from No. 10 Herbert Hoover (6-3) for a comfortable 41-6 win. The Miners totaled 430 yards of offense in the victory as quarterback Stevie Hammond completed 16 of 29 passes for 204 yards and two touchdowns (he also added a rushing score), setting Mingo Central’s school record for passing yards in a single season (previously 1,887 yards). Mingo Central running back Taylor Thornsbury added 136 rushing yards and a touchdown on the night as well.
No. 14 Robert C. Byrd (6-3) added a win on the road over No. 7 Lincoln (7-2) 35-14. RCB broke the game open in the fourth quarter on a 75 yard touchdown pass from quarterback Julian Marino to Tre Junkins. Marino finished 5 of 5 on the night with 112 yards passing, eclipsing the 1,000 yard mark for the season. Eagles’ running back Juwan Jones Wright collected three scores in the win, including a 57 yard touchdown run.

Wayne improved to 5-4 with a 54-35 win over No. 9 Chapmanville (7-3), handing the Tigers their third straight loss heading into the postseason. Logan Queen led the Pioneers with 214 rushing yards in the win, while Chapmanville quarterback Alex Berry finished with 250 yards passing in the loss.
Class AAA No. 3 Wheeling Park (7-1-1) defeated Parkersburg South (4-5) 59-13. Patriots’ sophomore quarterback Cross Wilkinson completes 10 of 14 passes for 267 yards and four touchdowns. Elijah Bell added six catches for 176 yards as well in the win, while running back Savion Johnson carried the ball 29 times for 148 yards and two touchdowns.

No. 5 Martinsburg (7-2) completed its nine game regular season with a 48-6 win over No. 11 Musselman (6-4). No. 6 Jefferson (7-2) put together 28 unanswered points to beat South Hagerstown (MD) 48-42. The Cougars scored the game-winning touchdown on a pass to Christian Johnson with just nine seconds to go.
No. 8 Morgantown (8-2) beat rival University (2-8) in the MoHawk Bowl 42-22 as Maverick Wolfley scored on a 99 yard touchdown run and added an interception return for a score as well.
No. 9 George Washington (7-2) came from behind to beat Spring Valley (5-4) on the road 35-28 in overtime. The Patriots tied the game at 28-28 in the fourth quarter on a touchdown pass to Druw Bowen. NuNu Miller finished with 226 yards rushing and three scores as well for George Washington in the win. Spring Valley led 21-0 at one point in the third quarter.

No. 12 Greenbrier East (6-3) picked up a critical win over No. 14 Princeton (5-4) 39-8 as the Spartans have been looking for their first playoff appearance since 1998. Zayvion Lawson finished with 193 yards rushing in the win. The six wins for Greenbrier East are the most for the Spartans since 2001.
Class A No. 3 Moorefield (8-1) used overtime to take down No. 6 Pendleton County (7-3) 28-21. Wil Schoonover scored a 15 yard touchdown run in the overtime session. Shane Myers ended the game with an interception on Pendleton County’s ensuing possession.
“They are an extremely gritty football team and a lot more physical than I thought they would be,” said Moorefield coach Josh See. “It was just two great football teams out there going at it.”
Schoonover finished with 298 yards rushing and four touchdowns for the Yellow Jackets, while Myers totaled three interceptions defensively.
“Schoonover made an awesome run on the overtime touchdown,” See said. “For Shane (Myers) to make that stop in overtime for us to seal the win for us, it was just awesome to see those two seniors on homecoming night to do that.”
Another overtime game on the night saw Class A No. 8 Man (7-2) edge Tug Valley (7-3) 14-12.
