McKinley: Obama’s pipeline rejection ‘won’t make a bit of difference’ on climate

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Congressman David McKinley joined fellow Republicans on Friday in criticizing President Obama’s rejection of the Keystone XL pipeline.

“President Obama cited his concern over climate change for making this decision, but the truth is it won’t make a bit of difference,” said McKinley, who represents West Virginia’s 1st District. “This decision is disappointing but not surprising given the president’s track record of standing in the way of growth and progress with his anti-energy policies.”

McKinley saw the president’s decision as “another example of him siding with extreme environmentalists over the interests of working Americans.”
