One dead after weekend crash in Marion County

FAIRMONT, W.Va. — Police in Marion County have confirmed that one individual has died as a result of a vehicle accident over the weekend.

The single-vehicle crash occurred at around 3:15 a.m. Sunday morning on Mount Zion Road in Fairmont.

HealthNet was called to the scene to fly one person to the hospital.

The only identification authorities have released about the victim is that it was a male.

Details into the cause of the accident were limited as well.

The Marion County Sheriff’s Department continues to lead the investigation.
