Police release name of woman killed in three-vehicle crash Friday

LESAGE, W.Va. — Police released the name Monday of a Cabell County woman killed in a three vehicle crash Friday evening along Route 2 near Lesage.

Tara Webb, 27, of Huntington, died in the accident and her husband Sean was seriously injured, suffering a fractured pelvis.

Seven to eight other people suffered minor injuries in the accident, according to state police. Tara was taken to the hospital where she underwent surgery and later died.

According to police, Tara was a passenger and Sean driving, heading north when he stopped to make at turn and was hit from behind by a another vehicle. The car was then pushed into the southbound lane where it has it by an on-coming vehicle.

State police are still investigating the crash.
