GameNight: Wheeling Park’s Savion Johnson after 41-0 win

WHEELING, W.Va. — Class AAA No. 3 Wheeling Park (10-1-1) handled No. 11 South Charleston (8-4) 41-0 in the quarterfinal round of the playoffs.

Patriots’ running back Savion Johnson finished with 131 yards and two touchdowns, while quarterback Cross Wilkinson completed 12 of 12 passes for 235 yards and four touchdowns. Elijah Bell grabbed six catches for 123 yards and two touchdowns.

“Our defense was lights out and our offense was clicking tonight as well,” Johnson said. “Cross (Wilkinson) has been tough and is a better leader every game. I’m proud of him. He didn’t throw an incompletion – he was throwing some bombs.”

The complete interview with Johnson is posted at the top of the page.
