Hostage situation under investigation on Braxton/Gilmer County line

ROSEDALE, W.Va. — Police in Braxton and Gilmer counties are investigating a hostage situation reported Wednesday evening.

The incident involved a man who allegedly threatened three women, according to troopers.

It happened in Rosedale just after 6:30 p.m. when a dispatcher with the Lewis/Glimer Emergency Communications Center reported it.

Police continue to search for the man. It is unknown if he had a weapon in his possession.
