Person of interest being interviewed as investigation into Harrison County shooting continues

WILSONBURG, W.Va. — Police have are interviewing a person of interest and investigating three areas in Harrison County related to a shooting Wednesday evening in Harrison County which in one person being transported to the hospital.

Police responded to the scene at around 5:30 p.m in Wilsonburg along Turkey Foot Hollow Road, according to dispatchers.

In order to secure the area, the entrance to Gregory’s Run Road was blocked off.

One individual was flown to Ruby Memorial Hospital to be treated for gunshot wounds from what they believe at this time to be a rifle. No word on the severity of the injuries at this time.

Investigators are looking at three different crime scenes in the area and are interviewing a person of interest.

The continuing investigation is being conducted by the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department and State Police.
