Suspicious fire in Kanawha County

RAND, W.Va. — Investigators are calling a Friday morning fire in eastern Kanawha County suspicious.

Flames were showing from the mobile home in the 5700 block of Raven Drive in Rand when firefighters arrived on the scene at just after 4 a.m.

There were initial reports that someone may have been in the mobile home. A dog was used to search but no one was found.

The state Fire Marshal’s Office is being called in to investigate.

The mobile home was destroyed.
