Mother charged; infant treated for broken arm

FAIRMONT, W.Va. — A Marion County woman is in jail accused of hurting her 11-month-old baby.

Stephanie Quesinberry, 25, has been charged with one count of child abuse causing injury and one count of child neglect creating risk of injury.

According to Sgt. Adam Scott, West Virginia State Police Crimes Against Children Unit, the boy was treated for a broken arm in November. Investigators say doctors found he had new and healing fractures in his arm, two black eyes and other bruises.

Quesinberry failed a polygraph test regarding the boy’s injuries and who caused them.

At one point, Quesinberry accused her boyfriend of causing the injuries.

The mother was arraigned in Marion County and was being held in the North Central Regional Jail on a $50,000 bond.

According to Scott, the investigation continues and additional arrests could be pending.
