First buck is a winner for Putnam County hunter

Wyatt Hawkins 2CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Jamie Goddard of Red House, W.Va. is the winner of $250 in Mossy Oak camo gear in the Ram Trucks Trophy Room contest at WVMetronews.com.

Goddard submitted a picture of her nephew, Wyatt Hawkins, 12, of Red House and his first buck killed during the 2015 rifle season in Putnam County.

“This is my nephew, Wyatt Hawkins. He is 12 years old and he killed his deer on the second day of rifle season with a .243 on our family farm in Red House WV. You can see in the picture, this deer has a small down tine. He was very proud of his deer and I am proud of him.” wrote Goddard in her submission.

Goddard joins Jeremy Allen of Yawkey, W.Va. and Glen Martin of Scott Depot, W.Va. as our third winner in the 2015 Ram Trucks Trophy Room Photo Contest.
