MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Monongalia County Republican Executive Committee Chair Gina Brown confirmed the three finalists who will be considered to represent the 51st district in the 2016 legislative session.
Bill Flanigan, Wesley Nugent and Kyle McAvoy were chosen following interviews Thursday.
Brown said a number of resumes came in to serve in the seat held by former Delegate Amanda Pasdon who stepped down.
Governor Earl Ray Tomblin should receive the list Saturday. He has 5 days to make the final decision on Pasdon’s replacement.
The 2016 West Virginia Legislative Session begins in four days, January 13.
