HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — Three people killed during a Saturday morning fire were identified Sunday.

The fire killed 62-year-old Ida Thompson and her two granddaughters 7-year-old Maeshelle Audu and 4-year-old Nashya Audu.

The blaze broke out in the home around 9 a.m. in the 1700 block of Williams Avenue. Authorities haven’t confirmed the identity the victims, but neighbors said they were a grandmother and two children.

Investigators said eight people lived in the home and several were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
