Flanigan to fill 51st district delegate seat

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Morgantown attorney William “Bill” Flanigan will represent Monongalia County in Charleston for the 2016 legislative session.

Governor Earl Ray Tomblin chose the 51st district Republican to replace former Delegate Amanda Pasdon who stepped down at the end of December.

Morgantown Councilman Wes Nugent and Kyle McAvoy were the other two finalists sent to Charleston by the Monongalia County Republican Executive Committee.

The newly appointed delegate will finish the current 2-yr term ending January, 2017.

Flanigan was a former 2014 West Virginia House of Delegate candidate.
