BECKLEY, W.Va. — A Raleigh County Grand Jury indicted just under 100 people at the conclusion of their January term–including one man for first degree murder and two men for attempted first degree murder.
Tevante “Bootsie” Hoskins, 20, of Beckley was indicted for first degree murder in connection to the murder of Shaquille Clark last March. Police arrested Hoskins in November.
Hoskins was also indicted on one count of use of a firearm, one count of felony conspiracy, and five counts of wanton endangerment.
The Grand Jury also indicted DeWayne Alexander Jackson, 29, of Beckley for attempted first degree murder, six counts of wanton endangerment, malicious wounding, felony conspiracy, and three counts of being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Jackson is one of four men charged in a shooting that injured a five-year old child in a Beckley home in November 2014. Police arrested Jackson last February.
Danny Ray McGrady, 64, of Beckley also faces indictments on charges of attempted first degree murder, malicious assault, and the use of a firearm in commission of a felony.
McGrady allegedly shot Charles Jamal Hoskins, 37, of Glen White in August during a fight that the two men had “previously scheduled.” McGrady fired three shots, according to investigators. At least one hit Hoskins in the arm.
In total, the Grand Jury returned indictments against 97 people.
