Crash in McDowell County kills Virginia man Tuesday night

WELCH, W.Va. — A Virginia man was found dead after a crash late Tuesday night in the Black Wolf area of McDowell County.

Jerry Adams, 51, of Tazewell, Va., was killed after crashing his Jeep on State Route 103.

The single-vehicle crash happened when the white Jeep Grand Cherokee veered off the road, down an embankment and overturned into the Tug River, according to the West Virginia State Police Welch Detachment.

The accident is still under investigation.
