Kanawha deputies: woman reports shooting husband

DAVIS CREEK, W.Va. — A woman called Kanawha County Metro 911 late Thursday morning and said she had shot her husband.

It was reported at 11:42 a.m. at a residence along Matchlock Road in the Davis Creek area, deputies said.

There were four people in the house at the time of the shooting, those calling 911 said.

The man was taken from the residence and those helping him met with a ambulance who transported him to a CharlestonĀ  hospital.

The wife was detained by deputies. She along with the other people at the house were being interviewed Thursday afternoon.

The Kanawha County Sheriff’s Department said it hoped to release additional information later in the day.
